Emine Isciel joined Storebrand Asset Management in 2018 and has 20 years’ experience in sustainability. As Head of Climate and Environment she is responsible for the company’s strategic direction and leads the work on corporate and sovereign engagement. She is currently co-chair of the Finance for Biodiversity’s Public Policy and Advocacy Workstream and serves in several advisory boards including the UN PRI SPRING. She was part of founding Investor Policy Dialogue on Deforestation (IPDD) and Nature Action 100.
Prior to joining Storebrand, Isciel worked for the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment with multilateral environmental agreements advising the government on sustainability policies and strategies and leading the work on implementing the SDGs. She has also worked for the UN and provided technical advice and content to the SDGs. She holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Oslo in addition to executive education from NYU and INSEAD.
