We were delighted to host our Finance for Biodiversity Foundation Members Meeting at Schroders in London. It was the perfect moment to connect biodiversity finance with climate action, especially with so many nature-focused conversations happening across the city.
Anita de Horde, Executive Director, Finance for Biodiversity, summed it up:
What a powerful way to close LCAW, coming together in-person. From nature data to transition plans, we shared insights, strengthened collaboration, and aligned on the way forward together with our members.
We explored breakthrough tools and initiatives shaping finance for nature:
- Biodiversity Intactness Index – Gareth Thomas PhD MRSB, Natural History Museum
- NatCapEx – Stephanie Williams, Schroders’ approach for measuring companies’ environmental impacts and dependencies
- Partnership for Biodiversity Accounting Financials (PBAF) and biodiversity measurement – Annelisa Grigg & Wijnand Broer
- Biodiversity Finance Metrics – Irina Likhachova, IFC – International Finance Corporation – World Bank Group
We also shared exciting updates from the Foundation, and Natacha Boric Head of Policy and Positive Impact led a dynamic session on transition planning for a nature-positive future.
