Webinar Series: Meet the Tool Developer

Exclusively for FfB members and FfB Hub participants.

We’re excited to kick off the Finance for Biodiversity “Meet the Tool Developer” webinar series.

These sessions provide FfB members and Hub participants a technical deep dive into the latest tools and solutions for assessing biodiversity impacts and dependencies, and insights into how financial institutions can apply them in practice.

Session1: UNEP-WCMC

14 April | 15:00–16:00 CET

In the first session, we welcome UNEP-WCMC to present the Nature Tool Compass (developed under the SUSTAIN Project in collaboration with partner organisations) and ENCORE.

The Nature Tools Compass is a toolbox designed to help financial institutions and businesses navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of nature-related tools. It provides a structure overview of more than 70 available tools, helping users identify, compare and select the most relevant solutions based on their specific needs and use cases. ENCORE – one of the tools included in the toolbox and a widely used tool in the finance community – supports the assessment of nature-related impacts and dependencies at the sector level.

The session will explore:

  • Insights into the methodologies
  • Key features and outputs of both tools (Nature Tool Compass & ENCORE)
  • How the tools support biodiversity impact and dependency assessments and practical examples

The session will include a live walkthrough and an interactive Q&A, giving attendees the chance to engage directly with the tool developers and fellow participants.

Who should attend?

This content is available exclusively to FfB members Hub participants (including PBAF members) and is particularly relevant for those working on biodiversity analysis, sustainability, stewardship, risk, or investment processes.
