This week we hosted our first Finance for Biodiversity Foundation Members Meeting of the year, bringing together our community online to reflect on progress and set priorities for the year ahead.
We celebrated several key achievements and important milestones, including:
- New members,signatories and Hub participants joining the FfB community
- Hosting the Finance for Biodiversity Summit in Amsterdam in December 2025
- Publishing our first Impact Report
- Launching new Sovereign Debt and Real Assets working groups
- Looking ahead, 2026 is already shaping up to be another important year for biodiversity finance.
Recent FfB Foundation developments include:
- The launch of theFfBHub and new training workshop programme;
- Work on integrating PBAF and its activities into the FfB Foundation;
- New investor engagement briefs for the chemicals, biotech and pharma sectors – with more in the pipeline this half year;
- Publication of the Sectoral Nature-positive Transition Pathways discussion paper, in collaboration with WWF, Business for Nature, the Green Finance Institute, and The Nature Conservancy.
During the meeting, our working group co-chairs also shared their 2026 action plans, including:
- New subgroups responding to member needs;
- The development of new practical tools, frameworks and guidance;
- Preparations for COP17.
And soon, we will launch our annual benchmarking service for members, starting in April.
We look forward to seeing our community again in person during London Climate Action Week.
