FfB Nature Finance Event 2026

Join us in Amsterdam

Thursday 15 October

Join us in Amsterdam (following the PRI in Person conference) for a day of interactive workshops, knowledge exchange, and networking opportunities to share experiences, forge new partnerships and engage with the global community advancing finance for nature.

The Finance for Biodiversity Foundation will be hosting a series of events throughout the day, with support from our sponsor Amundi. The Networking Evening will be co-hosted in partnership with WWF and TNFD. The sessions will bring together financial institutions and other stakeholders to:

  • Hear practical examples of how financial institutions are integrating nature into investment and financing decisions
  • Exchange knowledge and experiences with peers in interactive workshops
  • Build new connections with investors, financial institutions and policymakers at the networking drinks ahead of CBD COP17
  • Discover opportunities to engage with the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation community.

After the Nature Finance Event, the FfB Foundation is organising a dinner to discuss the latest developments of the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF) with key stakeholders.

Meet the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation Lunch

Join us for an informal lunch to meet the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, explore our work and initiatives, and discover how we support financial institutions in advancing nature action.

14:00 – 16:00

Workshops & Good Practice Case Studies (sponsored by Amundi)

Session1 ( Workshop):  Capital Allocation for Positive Outcomes on Nature

1. Amundi Case Study: presented by Frederic Payet, Head of Infrastructure and Natural Capital, Amundi 

An overview of their current approach to real asset investing in Europe and emerging markets, focusing on forestry and how to make this asset class investable, as well as a presentation on the launch of their new natural capital fund. 

2. Triodos Investment Management Case Study: presented by Karel Nierop, Head of Products & Solutions, Triodos Investment Management

An overview of their Value Nature Fund in collaboration with Fondaction, with details on the investment profile, how they plan to measure and monitor positive outcomes on nature, and how they have overcome challenges and found solutions. 

3. FfB Hub Workshop  – Finance for Nature Positive (FfNP) Programme 

Interactive session delivered by the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation to highlight the work of the ongoing FfNP programme and draw on the case studies from Amundi and Triodos IM to help financial institutions understand different strategies contributing to the nature-positive goal and how to reflect them in portfolio and strategy development and identify potential financing and investmemt universe.

  2. Good Practice Case Study: Pledge Commitment (2) Engagement and ESG Policy with Molly Minton, Senior ESG Analyst, Amundi  
  3. Good Practice Case Study: Pledge Commitment (4) Setting Targets with Fadyan Pronk, Fund Manager & Head of Portfolio Management, ASR 
  4. Panel discussions with all FfB member panellists and audience Q&A moderated by Wijnand Broer, Finance for Biodiversity Foundation & featuring Alban de Fay, Credit Portfolio Manager, Head of Fixed Income SRI Processes, Amundi 

16:30 – 19:00

FfB, TNFD & WWF Networking Drinks (sponsored by Amundi)

The networking evening co-hosted with TNFD and WWF, will include presentations from each organisation – WWF, TNFD and the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation – followed by networking opportunities to share experiences and forge new partnerships ahead of COP17. The session will focus on key topics on how to advance finance for nature. The detailed agenda will be announced soon.

19:30 – 22:30

From Amsterdam to COP17: Financing Forests, Nature and the GBF 2050 Vision (private, high-level dinner) 

The TFFF dinner will be another important opportunity to gather financial institutions and other influential organisations interested in the success of the TFFF following PRI in Person.

It will also be an opportunity to share updates on the Rotterdam TFFF Statement of Support, which was established for the event Inside the TFFF: An Exclusive Investor Convening, co-organised by the Government of the Netherlands, Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, Robeco, and WWF Netherlands in Rotterdam. The start of the statement recruitment phase was announced during London Climate Action Week in June 2026, with the support of 12 founding signatories and the Luxembourg Stock Exchange as a supporter.

The evening will include dinner and presentations (speakers to be announced soon).
