DESCRIPTION
Organised by The Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, Robeco and WWF Netherlands, this event will bring together leading voices from across finance and policy to focus on how private investors can engage with the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF), and outline how governments can support its success in helping scale finance for nature. It follows directly after the expected official launch of the TFFF Rotterdam Statement of Support from Investors on October 15 during the PRI in Person 2026 conference in Amsterdam, and will include reflections from signatory investors on why this instrument is a key contributor to global climate and nature goals.
OBJECTIVES & DESIRED OUTCOME(S)
- Share insight into the structure and functioning of the TFFF and the TFIF to support public-private co-development after COP17.
- Showcase investor interest and continue building momentum around innovative financial mechanisms for climate and nature, explaining the specific positioning and ambition of the TFFF in this landscape.
- Call on governments to secure ensure the successful establishment of the TFFF.
