21 October | 15:30 – 16:30
HOST: Finance for Biodiversity Foundation
VENUE: Netherlands Pavilion, Blue Zone – Yerevan, Armenia
FORMAT: Interactive workshop
DESCRIPTION
With key discussions on the Global Review in the implementation of the GBF at COP17, the workshop “Tracking Indicator D3 – How much does private finance contribute to biodiversity positive outcomes?” will feed into the debates on how to measure private biodiversity finance flows. It will gather insights from stakeholders regarding how improved measurement and monitoring could support Parties in planning, implementing and reviewing progress towards Target 19.
OBJECTIVES & DESIRED OUTCOMES
- Feed into GBF Global Review and Resource Mobilisation discussions: Improved tracking of private biodiversity finance flows can provide essential information to support Parties in assessing progress, challenges, and implementing the right policies to guide the alignment of financial flows with the GBF goals and targets.
- Feed into project development on tracking financial flows in the Netherlands: Beyond COP17, for the next iteration of national reports and the next GBF Global Review, this workshop will be part of a methodological development effort to improve the tracking of private biodiversity finance flows at the national level.
