FfB Hub Workshop Programme

30 Apr 2026

We’re excited to kickstart the new Finance for Biodiversity Hub Workshop Programme.

From 2026, we are expanding the Finance for Biodiversity community with the launch of the FfB Hub: a new, inclusive platform designed to support financial institutions at every stage of their nature journey. The FfB Hub offers a practical, collaborative space to learn, connect, and progress.

The FfB Hub Workshop Programme

As part of this, we are excited to launch the new FfB Hub Workshop programme, open to FfB members and FfB Hub participants. The series of eight workshops is designed to help build knowledge and capacity to embed nature considerations into your financial design making and strategies, whether you are looking to deepen existing nature-related work, or just starting to explore risks and opportunities.

Workshop schedule

The workshop programme is available to FfB members and FfB Hub participants only.

If you missed the live session, the following resources for past workshops are available via the FfB Hub:

  • Full workshop recording
  • Learning modules: Content curated into 5 dedicated modules for self-paced learning
  • Resource library: Selected materials to support internal reflection and stewardship

Workshop 3: Biodiversity Data

📅 30 April
⏰ 15:00–16:30 CEST
📍 Online

Data underpins every strategy and action plan, enabling financial institutions to deliver on #GBF targets. Yet, it’s still perceived as one of the most persistent challenges in nature finance. This session will cut through the complexity by unpacking key data types, their methodological specificities, and how to use them rigorously, while challenging common assumptions around quantitative approaches.

This session is designed for those looking to:

  • Better understand the different types of biodiversity data and their characteristics (we’ll introduce the new FfB Data Catalogue)
  • Navigate the evolving biodiversity data landscape with more confidence
  • Strengthen their approach to selecting and using data in their strategies
  • Critically assess data quality and ensure robust, credible decision-making
  • Learn from practical use cases, tools, and best practices

Presenters:

  • Diane Roissard, Head of Nature Strategies, Finance for Biodiversity
  • Wijnand Broer, Program Manager, Partnership for Biodiversity Accounting Financials (PBAF)
