25 July 2022 – The Finance for Biodiversity Foundation published its first annual report after a year it was founded. The report covers the activities period from the launch of the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge in September 2020, to the end of the year 2021.
“2020 and 2021 were landmark years in which the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge and Foundation were established. After only a year of existence, we are witnessing a growing movement; biodiversity is becoming a concern for financial institutions of all sizes and types, across the world”, according to Anne-Marie Bor and Anita de Horde, co-founders of the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation.
The annual report shows the growth of signatories of the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge. After the Pledge was launched in September 2020, the signatories went from 26 launching financial institutions to 84 signatories in December 2021.
It also gives insights on the activities and the achievements of the working groups by the members of the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation.
